Fall Is Coming and So Is Your Dental Hygiene Visit

October is National Dental Hygiene Month! As with the beginning of the academic year, it is the perfect time to talk about the importance of oral health and your regular dental hygiene visits.

Fall season brings a lot of different things: schools and colleges begin, football, cooler days, Halloween and Thanksgiving. With all of this, it can get challenging to maintain a good oral health for adults and kids. If you haven’t already visited your dentist this year, fall is a great time to do so before the winter cold and short days arrive. Indeed, we are now 4 months away from a new year, so do not forget to make the most of your dental benefits or FSA/HSA. If you have any benefits remaining, there’s still time to use them before you lose them!

We are happy to announce that we are now offering online booking for our current patients for hygiene appointments with our two wonderful hygienists, Dina and Chris. Please feel free to find a date and time that works best for you. This is for appointments only with the hygienist—not for appointments with Dr. Birnbaum. If you need to see Dr. Birnbaum please continue to call our office or use the appointment request form.

Lastly, the beginning of the school year is a great time to plan for your child’s dental visits. Keep in mind that your child should see a dentist every six months, so the earlier you schedule the appointments, the better the appointments will fit into your schedule.

We'd also like to extend a friendly reminder that, as of Sept 1st, we no longer are in-network with Cigna healthcare insurance plans. We sent out letters to those patients that are insured with this insurance carrier explaining what this means for them and how to proceed. We want to thank those patients for their cooperation in making this difficult decision an easy one.

Thank you for being a loyal patient and trusting us with your oral health!
